Ancient Olympics Activity 2

(Fact No. 1) Milo of Croton was a Greek wrestler in the 16th century BC. He came from the Greek city in the southern Italy. (Fact No. 2) Milo was said to be a friend of Pythagoras. Milo of Croton saved his Pythagoras's life when a roof was about to fall on him. (FACT No. 3) The date of Milo's death is unknown, but people said that he had been splitting a tree in half when his hand became trapped in the tree.

    Thanks for this really interesting and informative post about Milo of Croton. There is a lot of mystery surrounding him but it does sound as though he was a very strong and interesting man. It also sounds like he was an incredible athlete. It is very sad to read that he may have died when his hand became trapped in a tree. Ouch!
