Have you ever heard of the UV Rays? Well if you haven't I am going to tell you what it’s all about. UV stands for Ultraviolet rays and it involves the sun so we should protect ourselves from UV rays.
How to be sunsmart
There are many ways to stay sunsmart like, wearing long sleeves, using sun block, wearing sunglasses and using an umbrella. We can stay sunsmart by staying in the shade or wearing a hat and a long sleeved shirt and track pants. The UV rays can give you sunburn in just eleven minutes so you should get out of the sun before eleven minutes.
Why we need to stay sunsmart
When you are in the sun its important to wear sun block on your skin. You should always use sun protection when you go out into the sun incase you get burnt. If you don’t want to get burnt by the sun then you should wear some protection on your skin because the UV rays can make your skin burnt in just eleven minutes.
When burn time comes
Burn time is when the UV gets stronger than it really is. It begins in September to April from 10am to 4pm every day. Everyone loves summer but sometimes we don’t know about the UV rays and what it could do to you.
Causing skin cancer
Spending too much time in the sun can cause sunburn and sunburn can cause skin cancer. And when we get skin cancer it could be deadly. Many people has died because of skin cancer caused by the sun.
