Samoan Language Week

Samoan Language Week
This week is samoan language week and samoa was the second most spoken language in the world. When samoa gets the ball past the net when  playing volleyball you would hear a loud noise like “chah hoo!” Samoans celebrate almost everything.

Would you like to learn some Samoan words? Lets start off from Talofa Lava this means Hello and oa mai oe means how are you? And you could say manuia fa'afetai that means good thankyou.

How buoyancy came to life

A long time ago in, Ancient Greece there was a great mathematician named Archimedes.Screenshot 2014-05-12 at 09.56.04.png
One day when he was taking a bath he discovered something life changing. When he got in some water got displaced and it overflowed over the bath tub.

Archimedes discovery got him thinking. He was so excited that he ran through the streets without any clothes on shouting Eureka! Eureka! This meant I have found it in greek.

He figured out that if you something in water and it is lighter than the amount of water being displaced, the object will float. This is known as buoyancy or the Archimedes principle. So if the object can float,it is buoyant.

Raft Race

Hundreds of brown seeds rained from the prickly seed hill.
At Grandma’s house the whau tree needed pruning.

Sleepy Holiday

Were you doing any learning in the holidays to get your brain
going? Practicing your learning in the holiday could really help you in your classroom.

At home I did nothing but sleep all day long. When I woke up my sister was telling me that I was talking in my sleep. I was dreaming of my birthday and that I got heaps of presents.

“This week is my birthday on Saturday and my dream came true” I said to my sister. “Yay its your birthday, its your birthday!” she said. “I can’t wait till Saturday I could stay up all night and day until it comes” I said.

I would really love to have a puppy what do you want for yours?
